We collect the machine in 95035 and take it to our bench. It runs through several warm-ups and a long string of shots while we watch the gauge, the pump and the boiler, because a fault that appears on the fourth shot never shows on the first. Then you get a written quote. The ECM comes back to your door once the repair is done and tested.

What we repair on the bench.
- Vibration pump that buzzes louder and pushes less. A worn vibration pump keeps running while brew pressure sags on the gauge and shots stretch out. Hardened rubber mounts make even a healthy pump rattle against the frame. We read pressure under load, compare it with the expansion valve setting, and replace the pump or the mounts, depending on which one failed.
- Puddle under the machine only after it heats. Cold, the case is dry. Hot, with the boiler at pressure, a compression fitting or braided line starts to weep. We run the ECM with the covers off until the drip appears, then reseal or replace that one fitting instead of a whole kit of hoses.
- Steam wand that drips with the knob closed. The steam valve seal wears a little with every turn. Once it lets water past, the wand dribbles into the tray and the boiler tops itself up more often than it should. We rebuild the valve with new seals and clear any dried milk from the tip holes.

We live in a McCarthy Ranch townhome with guest parking only. How does pickup work?
We agree on a pickup window, carry the machine out, and bring it back to the same unit after the repair. Switch it off a few hours ahead so it is cool to handle, and empty the water tank and drip tray. -
Is a louder pump just age, or is it failing?
Some extra hum over the years is ordinary wear. A sudden change in pitch, a rattle, or a pump that runs while the gauge stays low is not. Bring it in before the pump quits, since a vibration pump that runs dry can overheat and take its own coil with it. -
Our ECM sits under upper cabinets. Is that a problem?
It works if there is room above it. The cup tray gets hot, and steam rises every time you purge the wand, so leave a gap to the cabinet and pull the machine forward to steam. Heat trapped around the case also ages the wiring inside it. -
