Hot water tap spitting steam and water together. When the boiler level drops quickly, the tap starts pulling a mix of steam and water, and a slow refill makes it worse. We check the fill valve and pump output, then clean scale from the tap valve and outlet so the flow stays even.
Boiler slow to recover after a few mugs. A weak element or scale on it stretches out recovery, and so does a pressure switch set low. We measure the element, descale or replace it, and set the switch against a gauge so the machine returns to pressure the way it should.
Hot water valve dripping between uses. In a tea household the tap valve opens far more often than the steam knob, and its seal wears to match. We rebuild the valve with new seals, clean the seat, and confirm it shuts off at full boiler pressure without force.
