We replace the terminal and the length of wire it has cooked, and check every other connection on the same circuit.
Seized screws and panel fasteners. The screws that hold the side panels and the cup tray can seize with salt, and forcing them strips the heads. We free them carefully, replace damaged ones with stainless fasteners, and put a light coat of anti-seize on the threads.
Rust spots on the feet, drip tray and wand. Small rust spots and pitting start where water and salt sit, around the feet, the drip tray and the steam wand. We clean the affected areas, replace parts that have rusted badly, and show you where to wipe after each use.
