Can you take the machine out of a cabinet opening?

Yes, as long as it sits in the opening and is not fixed to it. Tell us about any water line or drain when you book, and whether the cabinet face comes off. We slide the machine out on a blanket so the finish and the counter stay clean.

Should both boilers be descaled at home?

Not with a quick descaler flush. Loose scale can block the probes and small passages a dual-boiler machine depends on. A heavily scaled machine is better opened and cleaned on the bench, and softer, filtered water keeps the scale from coming back.

A scaled level probe or a fill valve that sticks shut is the usual reason. We clean or replace the probe and the valve, check the cutout, and watch several refills before the element goes back into service.
Temperature error on the controller display. An error message usually points at a probe or its plug, less often at the board itself. We read each probe against a reference thermometer and check the plugs for heat damage before anyone talks about a new controller.
Machine set into a cabinet running hot. A cabinet opening with little air around the machine keeps heat against the case all day. We look for browned wiring, brittle insulation and heat marks on the controller housing, replace what is damaged, and tell you how much clearance the machine should have.
