Rocket Espresso in San Ramon

Rocket Espresso in San Ramon kitchens.

Some Rocket repairs start with the parts you handle every day. A steam knob turned too hard for years strips its stem or cracks its insert. A lever handle works loose on its shaft. The drip tray grill warps, the tray cracks at a corner, and the feet flatten or go missing. None of that stops the coffee by itself, but each points somewhere: a stripped knob often hides a valve that no longer seals, and a loose lever can mean a worn cam behind it.

We pick up across 94582 and 94583, from the 2005 to 2015 builds of Dougherty Valley and Gale Ranch to Bridges, Henry Ranch, the Westside, Twin Creeks and the older homes near the Crow Canyon corridor. On our bench we replace the worn outside parts and check the valve, cam or seal behind each one. The quote lists every part in writing before we order anything.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. The deposit is not credited toward the repair. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

  • Steam knob spinning without closing the valve. When the knob slips on its stem, the valve behind it may be half open, and steam keeps leaking. Years of forcing a closed valve usually cause it. We replace the knob and inspect the valve seat and seal, because the knob rarely fails on its own.
  • Lever handle loose or wobbling on the group. A wobbling lever has a loose fixing or a worn cam and bushing behind it. Left alone, the play reaches the valve, and the brew starts and stops unevenly. We tighten or replace the fixing, check the cam for wear, and grease it.
  • Cracked drip tray or warped grill spilling onto the counter. A cracked tray or a grill that no longer sits flat lets water run over the edge and under the machine. We replace the tray or the grill and check that water draining from the group lands where it should.

FAQ

Rocket Espresso in San Ramon questions, answered.

  • The lever handle came off in my hand. Can we still use the machine?
Not until it is refitted. Without the handle there is no safe way to close the valve during a shot, and whatever let go may have damaged the cam. Switch it off, keep the handle and any small parts, and book the pickup.
  • Why do the feet matter on an espresso machine?
They keep the machine level and let air reach the underside. A missing foot tilts it, so the tank can sit unevenly and water gathers at one end of the drip tray. New feet are a small job, and we fit them while the machine is on the bench.
  • Do you pick up from the Dougherty Valley and Gale Ranch builds?
Yes, and the rest of 94582 and 94583 as well. Have the machine switched off and cold, the tank and drip tray empty, and any loose knobs or broken pieces in a bag so we can match them.
  • What does the Rocket Espresso pickup deposit cover?
$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. The deposit is not credited toward the repair. Repair work is quoted separately.
  • How long does Rocket Espresso bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered.
  • What warranty applies to Rocket Espresso coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
