Fill valve weeping under high line pressure. Household line pressure can be higher than a machine's fill valve is built for. The valve weeps or fails to close, and the boiler overfills. We check the machine against the pressure your line delivers and fit or reset a regulator so the machine sees what it expects.
Rotary pump motor running rough. A motor with worn bearings hums unevenly or grinds as it starts. We separate the motor from the pump head, test each one, and replace the worn part, then check brew pressure on the bench before the machine goes home.
