Rocket Espresso in Milpitas
Rocket Espresso in Milpitas kitchens.
Much of Milpitas went up in the 1990s and later, and the townhomes around McCarthy Ranch and Sandalwood are part of that wave. If your Rocket lives under an upper cabinet in one of them, you probably slide it forward each time the tank needs water. Do that for a few years and the intake hose can work loose from the bottom of the tank, or air gets trapped in the line. The pump then buzzes hard and almost nothing reaches the group.
We collect the machine and start on our bench with the complaint you described. On a heat-exchanger Rocket with a vibratory pump, that means the tank hose and the low-water switch first, then pump output on a test gauge, and only then the boiler fill circuit. The quote you receive names the failed part in writing, and nothing gets replaced until you approve it.
$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. The deposit is not credited toward the repair. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Pump buzzing while little or no water reaches the group. A hose that slipped off its fitting, a clogged intake filter, or an air pocket left after the tank ran dry will each starve the pump. We reseat and clean the intake, bleed the air out, and measure what the pump delivers. A pump that ran dry for a long stretch can be damaged too, and that test shows it.
- Warning lights flashing after a long refill. On many Rocket models the control box times each boiler refill. If water does not reach the level probe in time, it stops the pump and flashes a warning. An empty tank is the simple cause. A scaled probe, a tired pump, or a fill valve that sticks shut are the others, and we check them one at a time.
- Brew gauge settling lower than it used to. A vibratory pump wears gradually. The needle that once sat near 9 bar during a shot starts to sag, the pump gets louder, and the same grind starts pouring slower. We compare the pump against a test gauge with the expansion valve ruled out, so a pump is replaced only when the pump is really at fault.

FAQ
Rocket Espresso in Milpitas questions, answered.
-
Our Sandalwood townhome kitchen has the Rocket tucked under a cabinet. Could the spot itself cause problems?
It can. Dragging the machine out to refill it tugs on the tank and its hose, and a tight cabinet holds heat and steam right above the cup tray. Leave some air around the top and sides, and fill the tank from a pitcher where the machine stands. -
Why does the pump kick on for a moment when nobody is making coffee?
On a heat-exchanger Rocket the pump also tops up the boiler. After you steam milk or draw hot water, the level drops and the pump runs briefly to replace it. That is normal. A pump that cycles again and again while the machine sits idle points to a leak or a fill valve problem. -
Do you pick up from the hillside homes above Calaveras?
Yes. The hillside above Calaveras, McCarthy Ranch, Sandalwood and the Berryessa-adjacent tracts all fall inside 95035. Switch the machine off the evening before so it is cold, empty the tank and the drip tray, and we carry it out and bring it back to the same door. -
What does the Rocket Espresso pickup deposit cover?
$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. The deposit is not credited toward the repair. Repair work is quoted separately. -

What warranty applies to Rocket Espresso coffee-machine repair?
