What we repair on the bench.

Scale hidden inside a used machine. A clean case can hide a scaled interior. Hard water in a previous home can leave the boilers, probe and valves heavily coated, and a machine descaled right before sale may have loose flakes waiting in the lines. We open the boilers where needed and clean what we find before the machine goes back into daily use.
Settings changed by a previous owner. Boiler pressure turned up for more steam, brew temperature set for someone else's beans, an expansion valve adjusted by hand. None of it is a fault, but it can make a good machine brew badly. We record the settings, return them to sensible values, and tell you what we changed.
Seals of unknown age. Group gaskets, valve seals and hoses age with heat whether or not the machine was used much. On a machine with no service history we replace the ones that have hardened, test the rest under pressure, and note the date so the next service interval starts from a known point.
