Profitec in Danville
Profitec in Danville kitchens.
Danville spans two ZIPs, 94506 and 94526. Near Diablo Country Club and on the Blackhawk perimeter, many estate kitchens are 12 to 20 years old now, and a Profitec bought with one of those remodels is due for more than a new gasket. Sycamore, the Westside and the older streets near downtown are mostly 1960s through 1980s houses with kitchens redone in later rounds.
An espresso machine of that age rarely fails all at once. Gaskets harden, the solenoid valve collects coffee oil, scale grows on the steam element, and the machine works a little worse each month. We collect it, put it through a cold start, brewing and steaming on our bench, and list what is worn and what has failed. You decide how far the repair goes before any part is ordered.
$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. The deposit is not credited toward the repair. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Wet puck and spitting from the solenoid drain. After each shot the three-way solenoid valve releases pressure from the group into the drip tray. Coffee oil and fine grounds build up in it, and the valve starts to stick. The result is a soupy puck, a spray into the tray, or a group that drips between shots. We strip the valve, clean or replace the plunger and seals, and test it hot.
- Steam that fades during back-to-back milk drinks. A steam boiler should recover between pitchers. When pressure keeps falling through a row of drinks, the element may be coated with scale, the pressure switch may be cutting in too late, or the element itself may be weak. We log boiler pressure through repeated steaming, then clean or replace the part holding recovery back.
- A full reseal on a machine from an older remodel. Once a machine passes a dozen years, one failed part is rarely the only worn one. We replace the group gasket and shower screen, rebuild the steam and hot water valves, renew the vacuum breaker seal, and check the internal hoses for hardening. You see the list first and choose which items to do now.

FAQ
Profitec in Danville questions, answered.
-
Our Profitec came with a kitchen remodel near Diablo Country Club years ago. Is a rebuild worth doing?
Generally, yes. The boilers and frame outlast the seals and valves by a wide margin, and those wear parts are what a rebuild replaces. The exception is a boiler or element damaged by long neglect, and the bench test shows that before you commit to anything. -
How often should we backflush the group?
A plain water backflush with a blind basket at the end of a day of use keeps the solenoid valve cleaner. Use detergent only now and then, since it also washes grease from the moving parts inside the group. Backflush only a machine that has a three-way solenoid valve, and take the shower screen off from time to time to clean behind it. -
Do you pick up on the 94526 side, around Sycamore and the Westside?
Yes. Both Danville ZIPs are in the pickup area, from the Westside and Sycamore to Old Blackhawk and the streets near Diablo Country Club. We agree on a window, the machine leaves cool with the tank empty, and it returns to the same door. -
What does the Profitec pickup deposit cover?
$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. The deposit is not credited toward the repair. Repair work is quoted separately. -
How long does Profitec bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Profitec coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
