A fitting that loosens, or a hose whose inner lining has aged, can seep for weeks before the cabinet floor shows it. We check the machine's inlet fitting and seal on the bench, and if the hose travels with the machine, we test that too.
Brew pressure that runs high on a plumbed line. A rotary pump adds its pressure on top of whatever the house line delivers. When house pressure is high or swings through the day, the brew gauge climbs past its setting and shots run fast and harsh. We set the pump on a controlled supply, then tell you whether the line needs a pressure reducer before the machine goes back.
Filter cartridge on the line that has run out or clogged. A softening or filtering cartridge on a plumbed line has a set capacity. Once it is spent, scale starts building inside the machine. When it clogs instead, the pump strains and flow drops. We look for fresh scale in the boilers and valves, test flow, and suggest a change interval that fits your water and use.
