Profitec in El Sobrante
Profitec in El Sobrante kitchens.
Water under a Profitec can come from several places, and most of them are inside the case. A drip tray that overflows is the easy one. A hose that has hardened at a fitting, a boiler gasket that weeps once pressure builds, or a tank seal that lets water past are the ones worth catching early, because water inside the frame can reach the wiring.
From El Sobrante Manor and the ranchettes along San Pablo Dam Road to the houses up in the hills, we collect the machine empty and cool and carry it down steps and driveways upright. On our bench we run it hot with the covers off to find the wet spot, then quote the fix in writing. EBMUD water is soft to moderate, so a slow leak may leave little white crust to show where it started, one more reason to look for it while the machine runs.
$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. The deposit is not credited toward the repair. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Hardened hose weeping at a fitting. Internal hoses lose their give after years of heat and start to seep where they meet a fitting. We replace any hose that is stiff or discolored, fit new clamps and run the machine hot to check every joint.
- Boiler gasket or fitting that leaks only when hot. Some leaks appear only under pressure. We run the machine with the panels off, follow the water back to where it starts, and replace the gasket or reseal the fitting.
- Tank or tank seal letting water past. A cracked tank, or a worn seal where the pump draws from it, leaves water on the base of the machine. We check the tank, its seals and the intake hose, and replace what leaks.

FAQ
Profitec in El Sobrante questions, answered.
-
There is water under our Profitec. Should we stop using it?
Yes, until you know where it comes from. Empty the drip tray and see whether it simply overflowed. If the tray was not full, switch the machine off and unplug it, since water inside the case can reach wiring. -
Can you collect from El Sobrante Manor?
Yes. El Sobrante Manor, downtown along San Pablo Dam Road, the triangle near Appian Way and Valley View Road, and the hillside streets are all inside our pickup area. -
Why does the leak only show up after the machine has been on for a while?
Heat and pressure open up small gaps. A seal or fitting that is dry when cold can weep once the boiler is hot, which is why we look for leaks on the bench with the machine running. -
What does the Profitec pickup deposit cover?
$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. The deposit is not credited toward the repair. Repair work is quoted separately. -
How long does Profitec bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Profitec coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
