Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Brew unit wear and gasket replacement. The automatic brew unit wears out before most other parts on a Jura. We pull it, replace the worn gaskets and seals, and clean the piston so it stops leaking spent grounds into the drip tray.
- Descaling and thermoblock service. Water out here runs hard, so the thermoblock heater scales up over time and brew temperature drops off. We descale the heater and the full water path and check the ceramic valves while the machine is open.
- Ceramic grinder burr service. Jura's grinder uses ceramic burrs, and when the grind turns coarse or the motor starts straining, we pull the burrs, clear out bean oil buildup, and reset the grind so the machine pulls a proper shot again.
- Flow meter and pump faults. A Jura that under-fills the cup or throws a water error usually has a clogged flow meter or a pump that has lost pressure. We test both, clear scale out of the flow path, and swap the pump if it will not hold pressure anymore.
