Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

Brew unit wear and gaskets. High-volume X8 and GIGA machines in a cafe chew through brew-unit gaskets. We rebuild or swap the unit and reset the puck-handling so it stops leaking and jamming mid-shift.
Descaling and thermoblock. Oakland tap water leaves scale in the thermoblock heater and lines. We descale the system, check heat-up, and set you up on a filter so it does not come back in a month.
Ceramic grinder burrs. When the grind goes coarse or the dose drifts, the ceramic burrs are usually worn. We replace the grinder and recalibrate so shots pull right again.
Drainage and ceramic valves. Standing water in the drip tray or a machine that won't dispense often traces to the drain path or a ceramic valve. We clear the drainage and replace failed valves and flow meters.
