Danville is our backyard, about 10 minutes south of San Ramon, so this is one of the fastest cities we cover. We can often swing by the same morning. The water here scales machines like the rest of the valley, so descaling and brew-unit upkeep drive most of our calls.

What we repair on the bench.
- Brew unit gaskets and rebuild. The brew unit on a downtown X8 leaks into the tray once the seals age. We replace the gaskets or the whole unit and clear the maintenance count.
- Descaling and thermoblock heater. Valley tap water scales the thermoblock and slows brewing. We run a full descale, check heat-up, and fit a water filter so a small cafe is not descaling every few weeks.
- Ceramic grinder burrs. The ceramic grinder dulls with steady use and the dose falls off. We regrind or swap the burrs and reset the grind for a proper shot.
- Pump and flow meter. A weak or noisy pump and a fouled flow meter throw off shot volume. We test the pump pressure and flow meter and replace what is off.
