Los Altos Hills is almost entirely residential across 94022 and 94024, with no commercial strip of its own, so the Juras we service here live in estate kitchens, home offices, and the occasional private guest house. A GIGA X8 Professional or an X10 in a household setting still runs daily and scales on the same hard Santa Clara Valley water as any cafe.
We come down from San Ramon in roughly 50 to 55 minutes via the 680 and 280. Most Hills machines that are plumbed in fail on scale first, so descaling the thermoblock and ceramic valves is usually where we start.

Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Thermoblock descaling. Hard valley water scales the thermoblock heater and drops brew temperature. We descale the heater and water lines and suggest a filter so an estate machine holds temperature between visits.
- Brew unit gasket replacement. Even a household Jura wears its brew unit over time. We swap worn gaskets and seals and clean the piston so the machine stops dripping and dropping grounds into the tray.
- Ceramic grinder service. When the grind drifts coarse or the grinder labors, we open it up, clear bean oil, and check the ceramic burrs. Reset properly, an X10 or GIGA pulls a clean shot again.
- Control board and flow meter diagnosis. Error codes and erratic dosing on a Jura can come from the flow meter or a control board fault. We test the electronics and water path and pinpoint which one is actually failing.
