What we repair on the bench.

Grinder jammed by a stone in the beans. A stone wedged between the burrs stops the grinder or makes it rattle and strain. We open the grinder, remove whatever is stuck, and inspect both burrs for chips. A chipped burr grinds unevenly, so we replace it rather than leave it in.
Weak coffee from a grinder that doses short. When the burrs wear or the grinder chute clogs with oily fines, the machine delivers less coffee than it thinks it does. Cups come out pale even at the strongest setting. We clean the chute, check the burr gap, replace worn burrs, and weigh the dose to confirm it.
Bean message with beans still in the hopper. Very oily dark roasts can stick together in the hopper and stop feeding the grinder, so the machine asks for beans while the hopper is half full. We clean the hopper and the grinder inlet, check the burrs, and suggest a drier roast if the problem keeps coming back.
