- Connector and wiring corrosion. Salt air works into connector pins and internal wiring contacts over time, and I see intermittent faults here that trace back to corrosion rather than a failed part. I clean and reseat the connections and replace what has actually corroded through.
- Descaling and thermoblock service. Pacifica water scales a thermoblock like the rest of the Peninsula, and the damp air does not help the machine shed it. I descale the heater and water path and check for any scale-related valve sticking.
- Ceramic grinder burr service. A cafe near the pier pulling steady volume wears its ceramic burrs down over time, and the shot goes thin before anyone notices the grind setting has drifted. I replace the burrs and reset the dose.
