A GIGA X8 Professional in a busy cafe or an X8 in an office kitchen handles steady volume, and the local water scales these machines quickly.
From San Ramon we run to Los Gatos in about an hour down the 680 and 880. Because so many downtown Juras are plumbed to a line, scale on the thermoblock and ceramic valves is the first thing we check on every call.

Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Brew unit gasket and seal service. Busy Santa Cruz Avenue machines wear the automatic brew unit hard. We replace gaskets and seals and clean the piston so the Jura quits leaking and dropping grounds into the tray.
- Descaling and ceramic valve repair. Scale slows flow and crusts the ceramic valves. We descale the thermoblock and water path and replace valves that have seized or started leaking, then suggest filtration to keep it off.
- Ceramic grinder burr work. When a downtown machine grinds rough or stalls, the ceramic burrs need service. We clear oil buildup, check wear, and reset the grind so a GIGA or X8 extracts clean again.
- Flow meter and pump diagnosis. Water errors and under-filled shots usually mean a clogged flow meter or a tired pump. We clear the flow path and rebuild or replace the pump to bring pressure back to spec.
