The industrial flats here run break-room WE8 and X8 machines that get heavy daily use.

San Leandro is a short 25 to 30 minute hop from San Ramon over the hills. Hard water is the constant, so descaling and brew-unit service make up the bulk of what we do, and we set up filtration on plumbed machines to stretch the intervals.

What we repair on the bench.

Brew-unit service on break-room machines. Office WE8 and X8 units in the industrial flats run all day. We rebuild the brew unit, swap worn gaskets, and reset the cycle so it stops jamming mid-shot.
Descaling and thermoblock heater. San Leandro water leaves scale in the thermoblock and lines fast. We descale the circuit, verify the heater, and add a line filter to slow the next round of buildup.
Ceramic valve and drainage. Leaks under the machine or sluggish flow usually trace to the ceramic valve or a blocked drain. We clear the path, test the flow meter, and confirm clean drainage.
Ceramic grinder burrs. Dull or jammed ceramic burrs make grind inconsistent and shots thin. We pull the grinder, clean or replace burrs, and recalibrate the dose.
