Slayer in San Ramon

Slayer commercial service.

San Ramon is home base for us, so the Slayer machines in the cafes around City Center Bishop Ranch and the shops near Crow Canyon are a short drive away. A boutique espresso machine in a busy 94583 cafe runs constant pulls through the lunch crowd, and the needle valve profiling is the first thing to wander when scale builds. We service Slayer Espresso, Single Group, and Steam machines as an independent shop, parts sourced through Slayer when a job calls for them.

Tri-Valley water carries enough hardness to scale a boiler over a season, so we descale and check the filter on every Slayer we open. That keeps the needle valve and boiler off the repeat-failure list.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

  • Brew needle valve and actuator. Slayer's flow profiling rides on the needle valve. We clean the seat, clear scale, and free a sticky actuator so the ramp behaves again.
  • Descale and water filtration. Tri-Valley water is hard, and scale is what kills boilers and valves. We descale the boiler and set up or service a filter so the machine stops eating itself.
  • Group seals and gaskets. Tired group gaskets leak steam and water at the head. We swap seals on the affected groups and reseat them for a clean lock.
  • Steam solenoid and probe. On Steam EP, LP, and X machines the steam solenoid sticks and the probe scales. We clear the valve, test the probe, and bring steam pressure back.
