Slayer in Livermore

Livermore has a real coffee footprint downtown on First Street and around the wine-country tasting rooms, where a few of the specialty roasters and cafes run Slayer machines alongside their food service. Across 94550 and 94551 these shops do long days, so the machine takes a beating.

From San Ramon it is about 20 to 25 minutes east on 580 to reach Livermore. We test the machine, identify the fault, and write the quote before any parts go in.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

Boiler element and probe. Long open hours wear the steam boiler hard. A slow recovery or cold group usually means a tired element or a scaled level probe, both of which we test and replace.
Needle valve and actuator. When the flow profiling on a Slayer goes inconsistent, we rebuild the brew needle valve and actuator so the barista gets the shot they dialed.
Heavy descaling and filtration. Livermore water runs hard. We do a full descale of the boiler and brew path and set up or replace the inline filter so scale does not keep closing valves.
Group seals and gaskets. Volume plus scale shortens gasket life. We replace the group seals and portafilter gaskets to stop leaks at the head.
