Slayer in San Jose
Slayer commercial service.
San Jose carries the biggest specialty coffee scene in the South Bay, from the cafes around SoFA and downtown in 95125 to the shops near Willow Glen's Lincoln Avenue. A Slayer in a busy Willow Glen or SoFA cafe runs all day, and the flow profiling that sells the shop is the first thing to drift when the needle valve fouls. We work on Slayer Espresso, Single Group, and Steam machines as an independent shop, parts sourced through Slayer when needed.
From San Ramon it's roughly 45 to 55 minutes down 680 to reach San Jose. We cover 95120, 95124, and 95125 across Almaden, Cambrian, and Willow Glen. Santa Clara Valley water leans hard, so scale drives most of the calls we get here. We check filtration and descale the boiler on every Slayer we open up.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Brew needle valve and actuator. The needle valve is what makes a Slayer a Slayer. When the ramp goes flat or jumpy, we pull the valve, clean the seat, and free the actuator so profiling returns.
- Pump and pressure. A worn pump can't hold brew pressure through a morning rush. We test output, check the line, and replace the pump when it falls off spec.
- Steam solenoid and boiler probe. On Steam EP, LP, and X machines the steam solenoid sticks and the probe scales over. We clear the valve, test the probe, and dial steam back in.
- Control board and wiring. A flaky board throws bad readings or kills a group. We diagnose the board, check connectors, and source a replacement through Slayer when it's the board itself.

FAQ
Slayer in San Jose questions, answered.
-
How fast can you reach a San Jose shop?
Usually same day or next morning for 95120, 95124, and 95125, about 45 to 55 minutes from San Ramon. A dead Slayer kills a cafe's morning, so we'll run after hours when the schedule allows. -
Which Slayer parts do you keep on hand?
Gaskets, seals, solenoid coils, and common pump parts ride on the truck. Needle valve internals, boards, and other boutique pieces we order through Slayer, so plan for lead time on those. -
What's a typical repair cost?
The $75 diagnostic is waived when you go ahead with the repair. We hand you a written quote first, covering the electrical and water-line work, before anything gets opened.
