Slayer in Alamo

Slayer commercial service.

Alamo's coffee runs through Alamo Plaza and the small commercial cluster off Stone Valley Road in 94507, where a handful of cafes and a couple of high-end home setups run Slayer Espresso machines. The town leans residential and upscale, so we see Single Group and 1 group machines as much as full cafe rigs.

Alamo is about 10 minutes from our San Ramon shop, straight up Danville Boulevard.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

Single Group flow profiling. On a Slayer Single Group, the needle valve is the whole point. We rebuild the brew needle valve and actuator so the pre-brew and profiling come back the way they should.
Group seals and gaskets. A machine that pulls a few shots a day still loses its seals to scale and age. We swap group seals and gaskets so the shot stops weeping at the head.
Pump and pressure. Soft or noisy extraction usually means the pump. We test pressure and replace the pump if it's worn, then verify the flow profile holds.
Descaling on the home water line. Alamo's plumbed lines vary house to house. We descale the boiler and lines and look at filtration so a low-volume Slayer doesn't scale up between uses.
