Slayer in Rodeo
Slayer commercial service.
Scale is what wears out a plumbed espresso machine, and a Slayer is no exception. Descaling on a schedule, replacing group gaskets before they leak, and filtering the inlet water keep one running for years. A Slayer is a premium machine and worth maintaining, and planned work lets you choose when it leaves the counter.
We pick up from Bayo Vista, Oleum and the rest of Rodeo, and we take machines from Crockett and Port Costa too. Rodeo and Crockett are on EBMUD water, soft to moderate. Port Costa gets Contra Costa Water District water, so its filtration and descaling may need different settings. While the panels are off we check the needle valve action, the boiler probe and the element, and the written quote covers all of it.

Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Planned descale and filter check. We descale the boilers, check the inlet filter cartridge, and set a descaling interval from your volume and your water, so scale does not get far enough to seize a solenoid. We note the date and the water reading so the next interval rests on a measurement.
- Group gaskets and seals replaced before they leak. Gaskets harden at a rate you can predict. Replacing them at maintenance, rather than after a leak, keeps water out of the frame and the shots consistent. We clean the shower screens and check the baskets for wear at the same time.
- Needle valve, probe and element check with the panels off. While the machine is open we test the needle valve's action, look at the probe for scale, and measure the element. Small faults found this way are simple fixes before they turn into failures.

FAQ
Slayer in Rodeo questions, answered.
-
Our Single Group only makes a few drinks a day. Does it still need maintenance?
Yes, on a longer interval. Scale builds with the water you heat, and gaskets harden with heat and time, even at low volume. A yearly check suits most light-use machines. On days after the machine has sat idle, run fresh water through the groups before the first shot. -
Is Port Costa covered as well as Rodeo and Crockett?
Yes. All three are in our pickup area. Tell us the address and where to load, and have the machine cooled, disconnected from water and drained. -
Are you a Slayer factory service center?
No. We work on Slayer independently, not factory authorized, and source Slayer parts through Slayer. We repair the Slayer Espresso in 1, 2 and 3 group versions, the Single Group, and the Steam EP, LP and X. -
What does the Slayer pickup deposit cover?
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. -
How long does Slayer bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Slayer coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
