Slayer in Concord
Slayer commercial service.
We service Slayer machines across Concord, from the Todos Santos Plaza cafes downtown over to the shops along Clayton Road and the Willows. Most of the cafes pulling shots on a Slayer Espresso 2 group around the 94518 and 94520 blocks run a plumbed line straight off city water, and Concord water carries enough hardness to scale a brew boiler over a season or two. Scale is what kills flow profiling first.
From San Ramon it is a straight shot up 680, roughly 25 to 30 minutes to the 94519 side of town. We carry a written quote out to you before any work, and the $75 diagnostic gets waived when you book the repair.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Needle valve and actuator service. The needle valve is the heart of Slayer flow profiling. When pre-infusion goes weak or the lever feels gritty, we clean or rebuild the valve and actuator so the ramp comes back.
- Descaling and water filtration. Concord water hardness scales the brew boiler and clogs the brew path. We descale and set up proper filtration so the scale stops coming back.
- Group seals and gaskets. A dripping or hissing group head on a 2 group usually means worn group seals. We replace the gaskets and reseat the group so it locks clean.
- Brew and steam solenoids. When a group stops dosing or steam won't cut off, the solenoid coil or valve body is the suspect. We test and swap the brew or steam solenoid and verify the timing.

FAQ
Slayer in Concord questions, answered.
-
How fast can you get to Concord?
Usually same day or next morning, 25 to 30 minutes from San Ramon up 680. We take after-hours calls too since a dead machine means a cafe is losing every espresso sale on the board. -
Do you stock Slayer parts or order them?
We stock the common wear items like group gaskets, solenoids, and descaling supplies. Boutique parts like needle valve internals and control boards we source through Slayer, so we order those in. -
What does a repair cost?
The $75 diagnostic is waived when you book the repair. You get a written quote before we touch the machine, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
