Los Altos Hills is almost entirely residential with no commercial strip of its own, so the Slayer machines here are in private estate kitchens across 94022 and 94024, plus the cafes a few minutes down the hill in downtown Los Altos. A Single Group or Steam unit in a home that gets daily use still scales and still needs the valves serviced.

From San Ramon it is roughly 50 to 55 minutes south to reach 94022. We come out, run the machine on its own plumbed line, and put the quote in writing before we open anything up.

Descaling the plumbed water line. Estate machines on a house line scale up quietly. We descale the boiler and brew path and check the filtration so the shot quality holds.
Brew needle valve. Profiling drift on a lightly used machine often traces back to the needle valve gumming up. We rebuild the valve and actuator and reset the range.
Boiler element and control board. When the machine will not heat or the controls act up, we test the element, the probe, and the control board and replace what has failed.
