Slayer in San Leandro
Slayer commercial service.
San Leandro's coffee runs through downtown around Parrott Street and East 14th, plus the industrial roaster spaces out toward the San Leandro Marina and the West San Leandro warehouse district. A Slayer in a downtown 94577 cafe or a roaster's tasting bar earns its keep, and when the brew group fails it takes the day's sales with it. We service Slayer Espresso and Single Group machines independently, with boutique parts sourced through Slayer.
From San Ramon it's about 30 to 35 minutes over 580 to San Leandro. We cover 94577, 94578, and 94579. East Bay water is hard enough to scale a boiler fast, so descaling and a good filter setup are part of every call, not an upsell after the fact.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Brew needle valve and actuator. Flow profiling depends on a clean needle valve. We strip scale from the seat and free the actuator so the pre-infusion curve comes back to spec.
- Boiler element and probe. Hard East Bay water scales the element and the probe, throwing off boiler temp. We descale, test the probe, and replace the element if it reads open.
- Group seals and gaskets. Leaking heads waste steam and dribble at the portafilter. We replace group gaskets and seals and reseat the heads so they lock tight.
- Brew solenoid. A scaled or dead brew solenoid leaves a group with no flow or one that won't stop. We clean the valve body, test the coil, and replace it when it's gone.

FAQ
Slayer in San Leandro questions, answered.
-
How quickly can you get to San Leandro?
Generally same day or next morning for 94577, 94578, and 94579, about 30 to 35 minutes from San Ramon. A down machine costs a cafe real money, so we take after-hours calls when we can route them. -
Do you stock the parts or order them?
Common wear parts, gaskets, seals, and solenoid coils are on the truck. Slayer-specific pieces like needle valve internals and control boards come through Slayer, which means a short wait. -
How much does a repair cost?
Diagnostic is $75 and we waive it when you approve the repair. You get a written quote before any boiler or water-line work starts, no surprises at the end.
