Slayer in Pinole
Slayer commercial service.
A Slayer is a line-voltage machine, and heat faults usually trace to the element, the heater wiring or the temperature probe. A machine that will not come up to temperature, or trips a breaker as it heats, needs those tested in order rather than a guess at the board. We handle the element, the heater wiring and the control boards under our CSLB #1136642 license.
We pick up from Old Town, from the shops around Fitzgerald Drive and the Pinole Vista Shopping Center, and from the rest of Pinole. On the bench we measure the element's resistance and insulation, inspect every high-current connection for heat damage, and run the machine through full heating cycles before the written quote. If the machine checks out, we tell you, and the building circuit is the next place to look.
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Breaker tripping as the boiler heats. An element whose insulation has broken down leaks current to ground and trips the breaker or a GFCI once it warms. We test the insulation cold and again hot, and replace the element if it fails.
- Heat-damaged wiring at the element terminals. A loose terminal heats up under load, browns the wire, and eventually burns through. We replace damaged terminals and wire, tighten every high-current connection, and check the relay that switches the element.
- Machine that will not reach temperature. If the element tests sound and the machine still stays cool, the fault moves to the probe, the relay or the control board. We follow the heating circuit from the board to the element and replace the part that fails.

FAQ
Slayer in Pinole questions, answered.
-
Our Slayer tripped the breaker once and has been fine since. Should it still come in?
It is worth a bench check. A single trip while heating can be the first sign of an element breaking down, and the next trip may come in the middle of service. -
Can another appliance on the same circuit cause the trips?
It can. A Slayer draws heavily while it heats, and sharing a circuit with another large load can overload it. If the machine trips on its own circuit with nothing else running, the fault is in the machine. -
Can you collect from Old Town?
Yes. Old Town is in our pickup area, as is the rest of Pinole. Switch the machine off and let it cool, shut the water supply and disconnect it, and drain the drip tray. Note whether the trips came at switch-on, during warm-up or in the middle of service. -
What does the Slayer pickup deposit cover?
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. -
How long does Slayer bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Slayer coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
