Slayer in Pleasant Hill

Slayer commercial service.

Pleasant Hill's coffee spots cluster around the Downtown Pleasant Hill plaza off Crescent Drive and the Contra Costa Boulevard retail strip in 94523. These are suburban cafes feeding a commuter and family crowd, often running a 2 group Slayer through a busy morning then a steadier afternoon. When flow profiling drifts or a group starts leaking, the owner feels it right away in the line out the door.

From San Ramon it's a straight shot up 680, about 20 to 25 minutes, making Pleasant Hill one of our easier runs. We service Slayer independently, not as a factory-authorized shop, and you get a written quote before we open anything. Local water hardness drives scale onto the element and probe, so descaling and filtration are part of most visits here.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

  • Needle valve and actuator. When profiling on a 2 group Slayer feels off or the lever sticks, the flow control needle valve and actuator need service. Internals come through Slayer.
  • Brew and steam solenoids. A solenoid that fails to open or close drops a group during the morning rush. We test the brew and steam solenoids and replace the bad coil or valve.
  • Group seals and gaskets. Leaks or channeling at the group on a busy Downtown machine point to worn seals. We replace the gaskets and check portafilter fit.
  • Descaling on the water line. Pleasant Hill line water scales the boiler element and probe. We descale and set up filtration so temperature and steam stay steady.
