Faema in San Leandro

Faema commercial service.

San Leandro's coffee work sits around the downtown core near East 14th and the BART station in 94577, plus the cafes serving the industrial and warehouse roasters off Doolittle and Marina in 94578 and 94579. Several of these run Faema heat-exchanger machines that handle steady commuter volume.

From San Ramon it's about 30 to 40 minutes over the hill on 580. We service Faema as an independent shop, not a brand dealer, and the quote goes in writing before we open the machine.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

  • Heat-exchanger descaling. Commuter-rush volume plus hard water scales the heat-exchanger quick. We descale the exchanger and boiler and check steam pressure so the machine keeps up with the line.
  • E61 group gaskets. A leaking or hard-to-lock E61 group means worn group gaskets and seals. We rebuild the group on Faema E61 Legend and Jubile machines and reseat the shower screen.
  • Steam solenoid and wand. A steam valve that won't seat or a wand that keeps weeping is a steam solenoid issue. We test the coil and valve and replace the part so steam shuts clean.
  • Level probe and pump. False low-water alarms or weak pressure trace to a scaled level probe or a tired pump. We clean or replace the probe and test pump output, rebuilding if it's down.
