Faema in Palo Alto
Faema commercial service.
Palo Alto's coffee runs from University Avenue downtown through the California Avenue district and out to the office campuses (94301, 94303, 94304). A lot of those bars and corporate cafes pull on Faema, and a busy University Ave shop can't afford a dead group at the morning rush. We work on Faema as an independent shop, fluent in the E61 brew group Faema invented and their heat-exchanger and multi-boiler machines.
From San Ramon, Palo Alto is roughly 40 to 50 minutes over the 680 and the 84 or the Dumbarton, traffic depending. We cover downtown, Cal Ave, and the Stanford-adjacent cafes on the same run. Peninsula water still leaves scale, so descaling and filtration come up often.
$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- E61 group rebuild. Faema's own E61 group leaks and loses pressure at the gaskets over time. We strip the group, replace gaskets and seals, and reset it on E71, E61 Legend, and Jubile machines.
- Multi-boiler and heat-exchanger descaling. Scale chokes the boiler and heat exchanger and drags down recovery on a busy bar. We descale the circuit, test the element, and tie in proper water filtration so it lasts.
- Brew and steam solenoid service. Sticking solenoids cause group drip and steam-wand leaks. We test the valve and coil and rebuild or replace it on Teorema and Emblema.
- Pump, level probe, and board diagnostics. Low pressure, runaway fills, or a dead display trace to the pump, level probe, or control board. We test each so a downtown cafe gets the real fix, not a parts swap guess.
