Faema in Albany
Faema commercial service.
Albany packs a dense run of small cafes into 1.8 square miles, most of them along Solano Avenue, the strip Albany shares with North Berkeley, plus a second cluster where San Pablo Avenue crosses through town. A Faema machine on Solano in 94706 gets pushed through long mornings by steady foot traffic, and high volume means group seals and solenoids wear faster while hard water in this part of the East Bay keeps scale building in the boiler. We're an independent repair shop for these machines, not a factory-authorized dealer.
San Ramon to Albany is about 40 to 45 minutes on I-580 or Highway 24 to I-80, and we route Albany with our Berkeley and Richmond Inner East Bay days. We carry common E61 group and brew solenoid parts so a busy Solano Avenue cafe isn't stuck waiting on a seal.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- High-volume E61 group rebuild. Solano Avenue cafes run the group nonstop through the morning rush, wearing gaskets and seals fast. On Legend and Jubile machines, we pull the E61-style group and rebuild it so the drip stops and shots pull clean again.
- Brew and steam solenoid replacement. Constant use plus hard water kills solenoids. On E71 and Teorema machines we replace the brew and steam solenoids so the group and wand fire on cue and shut off clean.
- Multi-boiler descaling and element. Scale hits the brew boiler first on multi-boiler Faema machines. We descale the system, test each element, and swap out any that's failed so every boiler holds its set point.
- Pump and pressure diagnosis. Weak shots or no pressure on a busy Solano Avenue machine usually trace to the pump. We test line pressure and the pump and replace it when worn.
