Faema in El Sobrante
Faema commercial service.
Every Faema opens and closes its water with solenoid valves. When a brew solenoid sticks, the group keeps dripping after the shot or will not shut off cleanly. When a steam solenoid fails, the wand stops steaming or keeps hissing after it closes. The machine still turns on, so a counter often works around it for a while, until the valve quits during a busy morning.
El Sobrante is on EBMUD water, soft to moderate, so a stuck solenoid here is as likely to be a worn seal or a tired coil as scale. We collect the machine from downtown along San Pablo Dam Road, the triangle near Appian Way and Valley View Road, or El Sobrante Manor, and take it to our bench. We test each coil and valve and quote the repair in writing before we start.
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Group that drips after the shot ends. A brew solenoid that does not seal lets water trickle into the group after the pump stops. We test the coil, open the valve, clean or rebuild it, and run shots until the group stops dripping.
- Steam wand that will not steam. If the wand opens and nothing comes out, the steam solenoid or its coil has failed, or the valve is blocked. We measure the coil, clear or replace the valve, and test steam pressure at the wand.
- Coil failure on an aging solenoid. Coils age with heat and can open or short without warning. We check each coil's resistance while the machine is on the bench, since a weak one found now saves a second repair later.

FAQ
Faema in El Sobrante questions, answered.
-
Can a stuck solenoid be rebuilt, or does it need replacing?
Many can be rebuilt with a new seal and a clean seat. A burned coil or a cracked valve body needs replacing. We check which one it is on the bench and quote accordingly. -
Can you collect our Faema from downtown El Sobrante?
Yes. Downtown along San Pablo Dam Road, El Sobrante Manor and the triangle near Appian Way are all in our pickup area. We collect the machine, diagnose it on the bench, and return it to the same counter after the approved work. -
Our steam wand hisses after we close it. Can it wait?
Not with the machine running. Switch it off until the valve is repaired. The leak wastes steam, keeps the element working and tends to get worse, and a valve that will not seal can also let water into the frame. Book a pickup while it is still one valve to rebuild. -
What does the Faema pickup deposit cover?
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. -
How long does Faema bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Faema coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
