Faema in Pinole
Faema commercial service.
A Faema pulls a good shot only when the pump holds steady brew pressure. As a pump wears, pressure sags during the shot, or it builds slowly and the first drinks of the morning come out thin. The machine still heats and still steams, so the fault is easy to live with for a while and hard to pin down without a gauge.
Pinole is on EBMUD water, soft to moderate, so a pressure problem here is worth checking at the pump before blaming scale. We collect the machine from Old Town, Pinole Valley or a shop near Fitzgerald Drive and put a gauge on it at our bench. The written quote says whether the pump needs an adjustment, new parts or a replacement, and nothing changes until you approve it.
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Rotary pump losing pressure under load. A worn pump can read fine at idle and fall away once water flows. We test it under load with a gauge, and if adjusting the bypass will not hold the setting, we replace the pump head.
- Pump motor humming without turning. A motor that hums without turning, or trips out, points at the motor, its capacitor or a seized pump head. We separate those on the bench and replace only the part that failed.
- Pressure faults that start at the inlet. Low brew pressure is not always the pump. A clogged inlet screen inside the machine starves it, and so can a filter or supply valve at your counter. We clear the inlet side on the bench and tell you if the line at your end needs attention.

FAQ
Faema in Pinole questions, answered.
-
Our shots got thin, but the machine seems fine otherwise. Is it the pump?
It might be. A pump that no longer holds brew pressure produces exactly that. Worn group seals and a coarse grind can look similar, so we test pressure at the group on the bench before naming the part. -
Can you pick up from a cafe in Old Town Pinole?
Yes. Old Town, Pinole Valley, Pinole on the Hill and the Fitzgerald Drive shops are all within our pickup area. We collect at a time that avoids your rush, and the machine comes back to the same counter once the repair is approved and done. -
Should the pump be checked during regular maintenance?
Yes. A pressure reading takes little time while the machine is on the bench, and it catches a pump that is starting to tire before it ruins a morning. We record the number so the next check has something to compare against. -
What does the Faema pickup deposit cover?
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. -
How long does Faema bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Faema coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
