Faema in Oakland

Faema commercial service.

Oakland runs on third-wave coffee, and a lot of those shops along Temescal and up Piedmont Avenue (94609, 94610) pull shots on Italian iron like Faema. When an E61 group starts dripping or a boiler loses pressure mid-rush, the bar stops earning. We service Faema as an independent shop, no factory badge, just techs who know the E61 brew group Faema invented and the heat-exchanger and multi-boiler machines built around it.

From San Ramon we reach Oakland in roughly 35 to 45 minutes depending on the 24 and the 13. Temescal, Grand Lake near the lake in 94610, and the Dimond around 94602 are all on our regular route. We carry the common E61 wear parts and source line-specific boards and solenoids fast when a machine needs them.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

  • E61 group gaskets and seals. Faema invented the E61 group, and its gaskets and seals are the most common drip and pressure-loss failure. We pull the group, replace the gaskets, and reset the lever so it sits clean.
  • Brew and steam solenoid valves. A solenoid that sticks gives you a dribbling group or a steam wand that won't shut. We test the coil and valve, then rebuild or replace it on E61 Legend, Jubile, Teorema, and Emblema.
  • Heat-exchanger descaling and element. Oakland water leaves scale in the heat exchanger and on the element, which kills recovery and trips the machine. We descale, test the element, and check your water filtration so it doesn't come back fast.
  • Pump and level probe faults. Low pressure or an autofill that won't stop usually traces to a tired pump or a scaled level probe. We bench the pump, clean or swap the probe, and confirm the control board is reading it right.
