Faema in Los Altos Hills

Faema commercial service.

Los Altos Hills is almost entirely residential with no downtown of its own, so the Faema machines we service for 94022 and 94024 are the ones in the cafes just down the hill in Los Altos village along Main Street and State Street, plus the private estate setups where a homeowner runs a real commercial E61 group at home. Either way it is the same machine and the same group.

From San Ramon it is roughly 45 minutes down 680 and 280.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

E61 group gasket and shower screen. Whether it is an estate E61 or a village two-group, the portafilter gasket is the first thing to go. We replace the gasket and shower screen and re-seat the group so it stops weeping.
Boiler and element descale. Peninsula water scales the boiler and burns out elements. We descale the boiler, check element draw on the E71 or Jubile, and replace a failed element.
Steam and brew solenoid service. A sticky solenoid shows up as a wand that dribbles or a group that will not stop. We test the coils and valve bodies and replace the solenoid that has failed.
Control board and probe diagnosis. On an electronic Faema, a machine that will not fire or misreads its level usually means the board or the level probe. We read the fault, clean the probe, and replace the board if it is dead.
