Faema in Emeryville
Faema commercial service.
A small leak under a Faema rarely stays small. A group gasket that weeps or a solenoid that no longer seals sends water down into the frame, where it soaks the solenoids and wiring underneath. By the time a breaker trips or a control acts up, the leak has often been running for a while. In an Emeryville office or studio off Powell Street, the drip can go unseen until then.
If your building has a loading dock, a freight elevator or a desk that signs in vendors, tell us when you book and we plan the pickup around it. On our bench we find where the water started, dry and test the wiring it reached, and quote the full repair in writing. Emeryville is on EBMUD water, soft to moderate, so a leak here is more often a tired seal than scale.
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Tracing a leak to its source. Water on the drip tray rarely comes from where it collects. We run the machine with the panels off, follow the water back to the gasket, fitting or valve that lets it out, and fix that first.
- Solenoids and wiring soaked by a leak. A solenoid coil that has sat in water can short or corrode, and the wiring near it can follow. We test each coil and connector the leak reached and replace the damaged ones before the machine is closed up.
- Steam solenoid that will not stop hissing. A steam solenoid that no longer seals keeps venting after the wand closes, and some of that ends up as water inside the frame. We rebuild or replace the valve and test the steam circuit until it shuts off clean.

FAQ
Faema in Emeryville questions, answered.
-
Our Faema tripped the breaker after a small leak. Is it safe to plug back in?
Not until someone has looked inside. Water on the solenoids or wiring can trip the breaker again or damage the board. Leave it unplugged and book a pickup, and we dry, test and repair it on the bench first. -
Our building only allows vendor deliveries at certain times. Can you work around that?
Yes. Tell us the rules when you book, and we set the pickup and the return inside your building's delivery hours, using the freight route if there is one. -
Can regular maintenance catch a leak before it spreads?
Usually. A seasonal group service replaces the gaskets and seals before they start weeping, and with the panels off a slow drip is easy to spot early. That is far cheaper than drying out a soaked frame. -
What does the Faema pickup deposit cover?
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. -
How long does Faema bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Faema coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
