The newer estate builds in Gale Ranch, Windemere, and out toward Norris Canyon Estates are full of high-end kitchens, and Viking Professional ranges and built-in refrigeration show up more here than in most East Bay cities. We know these Dougherty Valley floor plans well.
A lot of San Ramon Vikings are newer, so the failures we see skew toward doors, hinges, gaskets, and the electronic controls rather than worn-out mechanical parts. A heavy Viking oven door that no longer shuts flush, a fridge gasket that has stopped sealing, or a control panel gone unresponsive are the common calls. On these big doors the hinge springs carry a lot of weight and they wear before anything else.
We're the local independent option, right here in town, and not factory-affiliated with Viking. EPA 608 certified, CSLB #1136642. Because we're based in San Ramon we usually reach you fast, and the $75 diagnostic is waived when you approve the repair. Written quote first, always.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Door, hinge, and gasket service. Viking oven and refrigerator doors are heavy, and the hinge mechanism wears before most other parts. A door that drops, will not latch, or lets heat and cold slip out usually needs a hinge rebuild or a new gasket. We reset the door, replace worn springs or hinges, and fit the gasket so it seals clean.
- Electronic control and display. A Viking control panel that goes dark, freezes, or throws error codes is often a failed control board or a bad ribbon connection. We check the power supply to the board, test the membrane or touch panel, and replace the control so the oven or fridge takes commands again.
- Range burner and igniter tune-up. Even on newer San Ramon ranges, a burner that's slow to light or simmers unevenly needs attention. We clean the igniters, check the spark module, and adjust the valves so every burner lights fast and holds a steady low flame.
