Viking in Blackhawk

Viking in Blackhawk kitchens.

Blackhawk kitchens are built around the cooking. Inside the gates off Blackhawk Road and up toward Silver Maple and Tassajara, the estate homes almost all run a Viking 7-Series range or a rangetop with a griddle, set into large islands made for cooking at scale. This is heavy commercial-style gear, and it gets used hard here.

The repair I am called for most in Blackhawk is the rangetop. A Viking burner that will not drop to a clean simmer, a griddle that heats to one hot spot, or a burner that lights slow and lifts off, wears on the owners who actually cook. The cause is usually a burner valve, a clogged port, or the igniter and cap seating, and it is fixable without replacing the whole top.

ADRIUM is independent, not a Viking dealer, and we are based right next door in San Ramon. I tell owners plainly what their range needs and what it does not, and every repair gets a written quote before we begin. We are EPA 608 certified and hold CSLB #1136642.

Common repairs we do

What we close on the truck.

  • Rangetop burners and griddles that will not cook evenly. A Viking rangetop should hold a low simmer and heat the griddle flat across its whole surface. When a burner only runs high, lifts off, or the griddle cooks to one hot spot, we check the burner valve, clean the ports, and reseat the caps and igniters. Most of these come back to a proper flame without a full rangetop replacement.
  • Range ovens that will not preheat or hold heat. The oven under a Viking range takes as much use as the burners. When it preheats slowly or drifts off temperature, the bake element, broil element, or sensor is usually the cause. We test each against the control, replace the failed part, and run a full cycle to confirm the oven holds its setting before we leave.
  • Built-in refrigeration that runs warm or noisy. Blackhawk estate kitchens pair the range with a Viking built-in refrigerator, and when it warms up or turns loud the fault is often the evaporator fan, the defrost circuit, or the sealed loop. We work through the cold side properly before touching refrigerant, and any sealed-system work is done under EPA 608 rules with a written quote first.

Blackhawk is one of our closest areas. From San Ramon it is a short drive over toward Tassajara and the Blackhawk gates, usually ten to fifteen minutes, so we can schedule tightly here.
  • Is service inside the gated community a problem?
No. We work inside Blackhawk regularly and follow the gate and access rules for the community. Give us the guest or vendor details when you book and we handle the entry.
