Viking in Concord
Viking in Concord kitchens.
Concord is a big spread, from the tract blocks near Monument up to the gated custom homes in Crystyl Ranch against the Lime Ridge open space. Viking clusters in Crystyl Ranch and the newer Ygnacio Valley remodels near the Clayton line. In the mainstream parts of town a full Viking suite is less common, and we still drive out for a single wall oven if that is what you have.
Most Concord Viking calls I get are oven heat problems. A bake element that no longer glows, an oven that runs a hundred degrees off the setpoint, or a broil element heating on only one side. On the dual-fuel models the electric oven side has a temperature sensor that drifts with age, and the readout lies to you while the food comes out wrong.
ADRIUM is an independent shop out of San Ramon. We measure the actual cavity temperature before we touch anything, then quote the fix in writing. We are CSLB licensed (#1136642) and EPA 608 certified, and the $75 diagnostic is waived when you approve the repair.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Oven bake and broil elements. On Viking electric and dual-fuel ovens the bake element grounds out or breaks where it flexes, and the broil element burns unevenly, so one rack cooks and the next does not. We inspect the elements for hot spots and continuity, check the wiring at the rear terminals, and replace the failed element so the oven recovers heat evenly again.
- Temperature sensor and thermostat calibration. When a Concord Viking oven runs hot or cold but the display reads normal, the RTD sensor has usually drifted out of range. We compare the sensor resistance to spec at room temperature and at heat, verify the control is reading it right, and replace the sensor. If the oven is a gas thermostat model, we recalibrate that instead.
- Rangetop burner valves and simmer. The Viking rangetops in Ygnacio Valley kitchens lose their low simmer as the burner valves stiffen and the ports clog, so the flame jumps or blows out on the lowest setting. We clean the burner heads and ports, check the valve action, and adjust the low-flame screw so the burner holds a clean simmer without going out.

FAQ
Viking in Concord questions, answered.
-
How long is the drive from San Ramon to Concord?
We head up I-680 through Walnut Creek, and that is usually about 25 minutes to central Concord near Todos Santos, a little longer out to Crystyl Ranch or over toward the Clayton side. We batch our Concord and Walnut Creek stops so the routing stays efficient. -
My Viking oven temperature is way off. Can that be fixed without replacing the whole range?
Almost always, yes. An oven reading a hundred degrees off is normally a bad sensor or a failed element, both of which we replace on site. We confirm the real cavity temperature with our own thermometer first so we are fixing the actual problem, not chasing the display. -
Do I get a price before you start the repair?
Yes. We run the $75 diagnostic, find the fault, and hand you a written quote before any work begins. If you approve the repair, that diagnostic fee comes off the total. We do not give a repair price over the phone without seeing the unit.
