Viking Professional oven igniter replacement in Orinda
Problem: This Orinda kitchen has a stainless Viking Professional gas range with a vent hood over it. The oven had stopped working. The owners also asked us to check the exhaust fan in the hood.
Diagnostics: A gas oven can’t light without a working igniter. Our technician went through the oven and found two failed igniters.
The hood was simpler. The exhaust fan wasn’t broken. It had been unplugged from the wall outlet, most likely during cleaning.
Solution: Both igniters were replaced, and the oven was run and tested after the repair. For the hood, we plugged the fan back in and tested it.
Result: The oven is working properly again and the range is ready for normal use. The hood fan runs, and it didn’t need any parts.
