I see a lot of 7-Series ranges and rangetops in the estate lots near Orinda Country Club and Glorietta. These are commercial-style burners with heavy brass caps and sealed spark modules, so they wear and fail in ways a standard range does not. Knowing that saves guesswork when we come out.

What we close on the truck.
- Viking rangetop burner igniters that keep clicking. On the 7-Series rangetops I see around Glorietta, the spark igniters keep ticking and will not quit, or a head lights slow and yellow. Most of the time it is a cracked ceramic igniter or a module that has taken on grease and moisture. We replace the igniter, clean the ports, and reset the gap so the burner lights clean.
- Viking oven bake element and temperature sensor. Viking wall ovens and range ovens lose the bake element or drift off temperature when the sensor ages. We test the element resistance and the sensor against a meter, then replace whichever is out of range so the oven holds the set temperature.
- Viking oven and refrigerator door seals and hinges. Heavy Viking oven and refrigerator doors sag over the years and the gasket stops sealing, which shows up as heat loss or condensation. We rebuild the hinge, replace the gasket, and align the door so it shuts flush.

How fast can you get to Orinda from San Ramon?
We work out of San Ramon. To reach Orinda we run north on 680 to Lafayette, then cut west on Highway 24, which is usually 20 to 25 minutes outside commute hours. We cover Sleepy Hollow, Glorietta and the Country Club area on that same route and can stop in Lafayette on the way if a neighbor needs a look. -
