Viking in Moraga
Viking in Moraga kitchens.
Moraga is one of the towns where Viking built-in refrigeration is genuinely common. Up in Sanders Ranch, around the Moraga Country Club, and in the Campolindo hills, plenty of kitchens were built or remodeled with a full Viking suite, including the built-in column and side-by-side refrigerators that most homes never see. That gear is worth keeping alive, and it rewards a careful repair.
The failure I chase most often in Moraga is the sealed refrigeration system. When a Viking built-in stops holding temperature but the fans and compressor still run, the problem is usually inside the sealed loop, a slow refrigerant loss or a restriction, not the electronics people assume. That work needs EPA 608 certification to do legally, and it needs someone who will diagnose the pressures before opening anything, because a rushed sealed-system job is how a good fridge turns into scrap.
We are ADRIUM Service Solutions out of San Ramon, an independent shop run by Andrew Kuznetsov. We are CSLB licensed (#1136642) and EPA 608 certified, the $75 diagnostic is waived with the repair, and you get a written quote before we start. We are not a Viking factory contractor, and on a sealed-system call in particular I will tell you honestly whether the unit is worth the refrigerant work or not.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Built-in refrigeration sealed system. When a Viking built-in fridge or column runs constantly but the box drifts warm, I put gauges on it and read the suction and discharge pressures before anything else. That tells me whether it is a refrigerant leak, a compressor losing capacity, or a restriction in the capillary or drier. Sealed-system work is EPA 608 territory, so we capture the charge, fix the leak or restriction, draw the loop down under vacuum, and dose in refrigerant by the plated weight rather than topping it off and hoping.
- Ventilation hood and blower service. A lot of Moraga kitchens pair the Viking range with a matching Viking hood, and those blowers get loud or weak over time. Bearings dry out, the blower wheel loads up with grease, and the speed control gives up. I clean and rebalance the wheel, check the motor and capacitor, and replace the control if the fan will not hold its speeds, so the hood actually clears the range instead of just making noise.
- Oven control board and bake element. On the wall ovens in the Campolindo and Rheem Valley homes, a Viking oven that will not heat or throws an error usually comes down to the bake element or the control board relay that drives it. I test the element resistance and watch the board switch the load, so I can tell you which part is actually at fault. Replacing a board when a $60 element is the problem is exactly what a written quote is meant to prevent.

FAQ
Viking in Moraga questions, answered.
-
How far is Moraga from your San Ramon base?
It is close. From San Ramon we cut over through Lafayette or Orinda into Moraga, usually inside twenty-five minutes, and Walnut Creek is on the same side of the hill. That means we can often schedule Moraga jobs tighter than shops coming up from the valley floor. -
How long do parts take for a built-in Viking refrigerator?
Common wear parts I can often get within a couple of days. Sealed-system components and some built-in specific refrigeration parts run longer, sometimes a week or more, because they are not stocked locally. I tell you the lead time in the written quote so there are no surprises, and I secure the unit safely if it has to wait. -
Do you service the Viking ventilation and the range, or just the fridge?
The whole suite. Plenty of Moraga kitchens run a matched Viking range, hood, and refrigerator, and it is simpler for you if one shop handles all of it. I can look at more than one appliance when I come out, and you still pay a single $75 diagnostic that gets waived when we do the work.
