- Range oven door that sags or will not seal. This is the repair I see most in Martinez. The oven doors on these ranges are heavy, and after years of daily use the hinge springs weaken so the door drops or gaps at the top. Heat escapes and baking suffers. We rebuild or replace the hinge assembly and fit a fresh door gasket so the cavity closes tight again.
- Control board and display faults. An older Viking that shows a dead display, unresponsive touch pads, or an error it will not clear often has a control board or membrane that has aged out. We check the power supply and connections first, because a loose harness can mimic a dead board, then replace the control only when the testing points to it.
- Burner or refrigeration checks on long-owned units. On the fifteen-and-twenty-year-old units common here, I also get burners that will not stay lit and built-in fridges that run warm. We clean and test the spark system on the cooktop, and for a warm built-in we diagnose the sealed system under EPA 608 rules before quoting anything.
