Viking in Cupertino
Viking in Cupertino kitchens.
Cupertino kitchens skew high-end. The homes around Monta Vista and up toward the Los Altos Hills line went through serious remodels, and Viking built-in refrigeration and 5-Series ranges are genuinely common here, more so than in most of the East Bay towns we cover. Down in the denser Rancho Rinconada blocks off Stevens Creek you still see them, just not on every street.
The calls that bring us to Cupertino most are built-in refrigeration. A Viking column or bottom-freezer that holds temperature poorly, frost building on the coils, or a compressor that runs without pulling the box down. This is sealed-system work, and it needs EPA certification and real gauges, not a guess about the refrigerant.
ADRIUM is an independent San Ramon shop, and Andrew takes the built-in refrigeration jobs himself. We recover, read the pressures, and diagnose before we quote anything in writing. We are CSLB licensed (#1136642) and EPA 608 certified, and the $75 diagnostic is waived when you approve the repair.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Built-in refrigeration sealed system. On Viking built-in columns and bottom-freezers the sealed system can develop a slow refrigerant leak or a weak compressor, and the box stops holding its set temperature no matter how long it runs. We pull the refrigerant into recovery, pressure-test the loop to pin down the leak, braze the joint, and weigh in a fresh charge to spec. All of this is EPA 608 work, done to spec and documented on the quote.
- Evaporator fan and defrost failure. When a Cupertino Viking refrigerator frosts over or the freezer stays cold while the fresh section warms, the evaporator fan or the defrost circuit is usually the cause. We check the fan motor, the defrost heater, and the defrost thermostat or control, then replace the failed part so airflow and the defrost cycle run right again.
- Range spark ignition and burner performance. The Viking 5-Series ranges in Monta Vista kitchens give up burners to grease-fouled igniters and weak spark modules, and the flame turns lazy when the ports clog. We wash out the burner assemblies, bench-test the spark module, and swap igniters as needed so each head catches promptly and holds an even flame.

FAQ
Viking in Cupertino questions, answered.
-
You are based in San Ramon. Is Cupertino too far for you to service?
Not at all. We run down I-680 to 280 through San Jose, which is about 40 to 50 minutes depending on traffic. We cover Cupertino, Monta Vista, and the Rancho Rinconada area, and we group our South Bay calls on the same days to keep the schedule sensible. -
Why does sealed-system work on a Viking refrigerator cost more than a fan or a gasket?
Because it takes recovery equipment, leak testing, and a certified recharge to the exact refrigerant weight, and it has to be done by an EPA 608 tech. A fan motor or a door gasket is a straightforward swap. We tell you on the written quote which category your repair falls into so there are no surprises. -
My Viking column is not holding temperature. How soon can you look at it?
We book Cupertino refrigeration calls quickly because a warm built-in is time sensitive, but we are not a same-day service. When we come out we diagnose the sealed system properly before quoting, so you know whether it is a fan, a defrost part, or the compressor circuit.
