Most of the Viking work I do off Embarcadero Road and Middlefield is oven related, because a built-in oven runs hot for years and the elements and sensors give out first. When a double wall oven loses one cavity, the whole holiday plan is at risk.

- Viking wall oven bake and broil elements. The most common Viking call I get in Palo Alto is an oven that will not hold temperature or throws an error on the display. On these ovens it is usually the bake or broil element failed at one end, or the temperature sensor reading high. We check both, swap the failed part, and verify the calibration with a separate probe before we leave.
- Viking rangetop igniters and spark module. Viking rangetops that tick nonstop after a spill usually have one igniter shorting across the group, since these burners share a module. We isolate the failed igniter, dry and reseat the harness, and check that each head sparks on its own without setting off its neighbors.
- Viking built-in refrigeration sealed system. Viking built-in refrigeration columns that run warm can be a sealed-system issue or a failed evaporator fan. We start with the easy causes, then if it is the sealed system we recover the refrigerant under EPA 608 rules and quote the repair in writing before any work.

We are based in San Ramon and cross to the Peninsula on Highway 84 over the Dumbarton Bridge through Menlo Park, which runs about 35 to 45 minutes depending on bridge traffic. We book Palo Alto visits in a window that accounts for that so you are not left waiting. -
Can you calibrate a Viking oven that reads the wrong temperature?
Yes. We check the temperature sensor and element against a separate probe, replace whatever has drifted, and recalibrate so the set temperature matches the real cavity temperature. -
Are you a Viking authorized service center?
No. We are an independent appliance repair shop. We service Viking every week and we are EPA 608 certified for the refrigeration work, but we do not hold or claim factory authorization for the brand.
