Our Hercules office switched to oat milk. Does that affect the module?

Plant milks foam differently, so the foam settings may need adjusting, and the daily clean matters just as much. When the module is on our bench, we can set the foam for the milk you actually use.

Can you take just the milk module instead of the whole machine?

The module and the machine work as one system, so we take the whole machine to our bench. That way we can test the milk path with the heating, the pumps and the controls all running together.

Milk drinks are where a WMF shows neglect first. The Dynamic Milk and Easy modules pull milk through narrow lines, valves and a foaming head, and when cleaning gets skipped, milk protein builds up inside. Foam goes flat, drinks come out cold or stringy, and eventually a valve sticks or a line blocks.

Hercules sits on San Pablo Bay, split by Interstate 80, and its water is EBMUD, soft to moderate. Scale builds slowly on that water, so on a machine with a milk fault we start with the module itself. We collect the machine, strip the module on our bench, clear the valves and lines, and quote any worn parts before they are fitted. Once it is clean and sealed, we pour milk drinks back to back and check foam and temperature before the machine leaves.

What we repair on the bench.

Milk foam gone flat or thin. Flat foam usually means air is not being drawn in properly, from a blocked air inlet, a worn seal or a clogged foaming head. We strip the module, clean each passage, replace the seals and set the foam back to your recipe.
Milk drinks coming out cold. When milk drinks arrive cold, the heating side of the milk system may be failing, or milk residue may be choking the path. We test the heating side, clean the path and replace the faulty part.
Stuck milk valve or blocked line. Dried milk can glue a valve shut or block a line outright. We clear the lines, free or replace the valve, and run the machine's cleaning program to confirm everything flows before it goes back.
