From San Ramon we are over the hills in about 20 to 25 minutes through the 24. We service Astoria independently. Orinda water tends to be hard, and on machines that sit idle through slow afternoons, scale settles in the boiler and group, which is where most of the trouble starts.

Boiler descale and level probe. Hard local water scales the boiler and coats the level probe, causing erratic fills. We descale, clean the probe, and confirm the fill cycle on a Tanya or Plus 4 You.
Group gaskets and screens. A low-volume shop still wears the group gasket. If shots leak past the portafilter, we replace the gasket and screen and reseat the group.
Brew and steam solenoids. Scale narrows the solenoid passages, so steam gets weak and brew flow drops. We rebuild or swap the valve and flush the line.
Control boards. Intermittent buttons or no power on a Hybrid usually trace to the control board or its connections. We test before replacing so you only pay for the part you need.
