Moraga is small and residential, with its coffee centered on the Rheem Valley and Moraga Center shopping districts and the cafes serving Saint Mary's College, ZIP 94556. A single Astoria machine often carries the whole morning there. We service the Plus 4 You, Storm, Core600, Hybrid, and Tanya lines as an independent shop.

Moraga is one of our closer towns, about 20 to 25 minutes from San Ramon over through Lafayette. With fewer shops and one machine doing the work, a breakdown is urgent, and the local water means scale is usually behind it.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

Heating element and level probe. A single-machine cafe lives on steam recovery. Scaled elements and faulty level probes are the most common no-heat and overfill calls. We descale the boiler and replace what's failed.
Group gaskets and screens. When one Astoria group does all the work, the gasket and screen wear quickly. Portafilter leaks and bitter, uneven shots get fixed with stock parts.
Brew and steam solenoids. No flow at the group or steam that won't shut off points to a scaled solenoid. We clean or replace it and check the inlet water as the root cause.
Pump and motor. Weak pressure or a noisy pump on a Plus 4 You or Tanya is usually the rotary pump. We swap it and set brew pressure back to spec.
