Alameda runs a lot of coffee for an island. The Park Street and Webster Street corridors carry most of the cafe traffic, and the old Naval Air Station out at Spirits Alley has added roasters and taprooms that pull espresso all day. We cover 94501 and 94502, and a service van from San Ramon reaches Park Street in about 35 minutes outside commute hours.

An Astoria Plus 4 You or Storm on a busy Webster Street counter pulls hard shots from open to close. When a group stops holding pressure or the steam wand goes weak, the machine is down and so is the morning rush.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

Brew and steam solenoid valves. A sticking brew or steam solenoid on a Plus 4 You or Core600 shows up as a dribbling group or a wand that will not cut off. We test the coils and replace the valve, then check the line for scale buildup.
Group gaskets and shower screens. Channeling shots and a portafilter that leaks at the head usually mean a hardened group gasket and a clogged screen. We swap both and reseat the group on Storm and Hybrid lines.
Heating element and level probe. No steam or an erratic boiler fill often traces to a scaled level probe or a failed element. Alameda water leaves mineral on the probe fast, so we descale and verify fill before calling it fixed.
Pump and motor. A rotary pump that whines or drops below brew pressure gets bench tested. We rebuild or replace, then set pressure to spec on the Astoria.
